Food Product Sensory LaboratoryWhen you implement changes to your food processing procedures, like process validation or storage, you can unintentionally alter the sensory experience of the food produced. Our sensory laboratory can tell you whether your product has the sensory perception that consumers favor. We train 12 selected panel members to recognize and rate the nuances of a product's flavor, aroma, texture or "mouth feel" and aftertaste. To keep the results unbiased, the tasters cannot see or speak to one another during testing sessions. Our testing results are very consistent across all panel members. We produce a flavor map for you, like that at right, detailing panel ratings on 20 flavor factors. Our results also include an easy-to-read Sensory Science Report that evaluates samples and qualifies for you what differences the panelists report from control samples. Subjective evaluations are described on a 10-digit numeric scale, helping you quickly evaluate whether your product varies from the characteristics desired.
